What we ask in return
Nothing. No money changes hands in either direction. We don't pay for referrals, we never will, and you're under no obligation to recommend us. If the app is useful to the people you see, great.
What Brown Noise is, and what it isn't
- It is a steady sound to help people relax, fall asleep and cover noise. Brown, pink, green and white noise, made live on the phone, so it never loops or clicks. A sleep timer fades it out slowly.
- It isn't a medical device. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and we make no medical claims about it.
- It's private. No account, no ads, no tracking. Nothing about a person's listening leaves their phone. You can recommend it without sending anyone's data anywhere.
- The evidence is early. Research on noise and sleep is mostly small studies. We say so plainly on our research page, with every study linked.
The safety tips on the card
- Keep it soft. Low and steady works best.
- For babies, keep the phone across the room and the volume low, and use the timer.
- Use the sleep timer if it's only needed to fall asleep.
